As old saying once stated, “Learners are precious like rice.” It means that people who initiate learning are seen as an important presence. Possessing knowledge is as crucial as learning. It makes one advantage in the organization by having better spot and opportunity. In addition, possessing knowledge would increase the employees’ satisfaction toward job.
Knowledge is in individuals, which makes it harder to attain. Possible factors that would influence the intention of knowledge sharing might be lying in the trust among each other, whether or not there’s benefit or interest being exchanged, or if the internal motivations are being met.
This paper aims to test the relationship between the intention of knowledge sharing and job satisfaction by exploring the effect of multiple factors, including organizational trust, reciprocity, organizational commitment, organizational identification, altruism and achievement motivation.
With 484 valid responses, this paper used SPSS Statistics 22.0 and SmartPSL(V 3.2.8) for the analysis. The results showed that majority of the hypotheses were supported. Organizational trust, reciprocity, organizational identification, altruism and achievement motivation played an important role in facilitating the intention of knowledge sharing, which predicted the degree of job satisfaction. Whereas organizational commitment found to have negative effect on the intention of knowledge sharing.
