中文摘要 Christensen的破壞性創新理論在1995年於哈佛商業週刊評論提出後,短短幾年間便獲得學術與實務界的廣大迴響,破壞性創新理論的概念相當簡單,但也因為將現實世界的情況過度簡化,使理論出現很多無法解釋的空白處,本研究試著解決其中三個問題:(1)不明確的定義(2)難以解釋例外的破壞性創新現象(3)理論缺乏預測與應用功能。本研究為理論性探討的研究論文,從文獻整理開始著手,將各家學者對於破壞性創新定義與破壞發生流程的見解整合,從中歸納出破壞性創新理論與其他創新理論的最大差異在於,不對稱動機保護的存在。本研究討論破壞性創新的分類學,將原始理論下所無法解釋的高階破壞與商業模式破壞,用一新的分類模型來完整解釋,以創新之投資報酬率與消費者願付價格兩構面,將破壞性創新分成5種類型:(1)傳統破壞(2)商業模式破壞(3)高階急遽式破壞(4)低階利基破壞(5)快速破壞。並詳細討論,這五種破壞類型可適用於何種企業。最後,我們會重新定義破壞性創新與破壞發生流程,並推導出七項命題,希望經由這些討論,能使企業家更容易的應用破壞性創新理論。
英文摘要 In 1995, Christensen published the theory of disruptive innovation in the Harvard Business Review, and soon received much feedback from academia and business. As easy as disruptive innovation is to be understood, however the oversimplified structure neglects many real world conditions thus leaves many theoretical gaps. The current study tries to solve three problem: (1) Imprecise definition (2) Inability to explain the exceptional disruptive innovation phenomenon and (3) lack of forecasting functions and other applications. This study is a theoretical study. The first part starts from literature review, which integrates various scholars' disruptive innovation definitions and processes. The major difference discriminates disruptive innovation from other innovations theory is found to be asymmetric motivation. Second, the disruptive innovation typological is discussed to address high-end disruptive and business model disruptive which can't be explained by the theory. By using innovation's return on invest and consumer's willingness-to-pay this two dimensions, all types of disruptive innovation is integrated to a new classification model which separates disruptive innovation into five categories: (1)traditional disruptive (2)business model disruptive (3)high-end disruptive (4)low-end niche disruptive (5)fast disruptive. Last, how these five types of disruptive innovation best suits corporation types is discussed in detail. By redefining disruptive innovation and the process, seven proposition is deduced for enterprisers to apply in business practice.
