中文摘要 背景:視覺空間注意力及動作抑制能力與羽球運動息息相關,雖然已有研究發現新手或生手與專業運動員在神經認知處理上的差異,但對於專業運動員之精英層級與一般層級之差異尚未有明確的資訊,因此本研究嘗試使用視覺空間注意力認知作業誘發之事件相關電位表現,來探討不同層級羽球球員之神經認知功能是否有所差異。目的:比較臺灣甲組、乙組與一般組三種不同程度羽球球員在執行視覺空間注意力認知作業時,行為與認知電生理表現是否有所差異。方法:招募18-28歲的羽球甲組球員18人(中華民國羽球協會認證甲組球員)、乙組球員18人(非甲組球員但曾獲得全國性正式比賽前八名)、與一般組球員18人(曾參與羽球競賽但不曾獲得任何比賽名次),施以Posner視覺空間注意力認知作業,同步收錄其行為與腦波數據,以多因子變異數分析進行統計量化。結果:行為表現方面,甲組與乙組之反應時間顯著快於一般組(p=.001);正確率則無顯著差異。事件相關電位表現方面,甲組與乙組之P3振幅顯著大於一般組(p=.014),P3潛時與N2成分波則未達組間顯著差異。將球齡作為共變數後,反應時間及P3振幅皆無組間顯著差異。結論:甲組與乙組在視覺空間注意力表現之視覺反應時間與注意力資源招募能力優於一般組,但甲組與乙組之間則無差異,表示運動層級落差會影響視覺空間注意力表現,但達一定水準後,其表現並不會有顯著差異,而球齡則為運動員表現層級差異的重要因素。
英文摘要 The visuospatial attention and the ability of inhibition are related to badminton. A number of studies have explored the cognitive behavioral differences between novice and expert athletes. However, but no research has yet been conducted on the neurocognitive performances between expert and elite athletes. Therefore, the aim of this study was to examine behavioral and electrophysiological performances in the badminton players with different performance levels when performing a visuospatial attention task. Fifty-four participants were recruited and divided into three groups [i.e., elite (n=18), expert (n=18), and novice (n=18) groups] according to their competition results. The behavioral performance and event-related potential (ERP) measures were recorded during a variant of the endogenous Posner paradigm, in which the participants should react to visual targets preceded by spatial cues or presented uncued. Behavioral data showed that the reaction time (RT) was faster in the elite and expert groups than the novice group when performing the Posner paradigm. In addition, the elite and expert groups exhibited significantly larger P3 amplitudes as compared to the novice group. However, there were no differences among the three groups in the accuracy rate and ERP N2 and P3 latencies.The elite and the expert groups showed a generalized enhancement in the time efficiency of the central processing of cognitive functions (i.e., RTs) and the recruitment of attention resources (i.e., P3 amplitude). It might indicate that the different levels of badminton players would have an impact on visuospatial attention. Nevertheless, the beneficial effects could remain constant after reaching a certain level of badminton abilities.
