This study explores the impacts on caregiver burden of getting lost events in patients with Alzheimer’s disease on family caregivers. The research object is the family caregivers who take care the people with Alzheimer’s disease and getting lost events. We use questionnaire to semi-quantify about patients’ information and family caregivers’ burden. The getting lost events cause large mental stress to 85% family caregivers. Those family caregivers who suffered from repetitive getting lost events would have high perceived stress, mental stress, and caregiver burden. Up to 31% of caregivers do not take preventive methods. Getting lost is probably the indirect factor to cause caregiver burden. The family caregivers should understand the possible risk of getting lost and take precautions.
