中文摘要 背景:視覺空間記憶力是失智症族群會出現的認知障礙問題,而規律運動可對認知功能產生效益,但目前尚未有研究嘗試了解有氧運動介入是否對失智症家族史族群的視覺空間記憶力表現能產生效果。
目的:本研究採用視覺空間記憶力認知作業,探討規律有氧運動對失智症家族史族群的行為與認知電生理表現上效果。
方法:招募54位55歲以上成年人分成失智症家族史族群運動組(n=18)、失智症家族史族群無運動組(n=18)、健康無運動組(n=18),每位研究參與者均施行電腦版視覺空間記憶力測驗並同步收集大腦事件相關電位,運動介入3個月後再於一週內進行後測。
結果:在行為表現方面,失智症家族史族群運動組透過3個月有氧運動介入後,與前測相比,反應時間[t(71)=9.82, p=.001]和正確率[t(71)=-4.52, p=.001]均有進步並達顯著上之水準;而失智症家族史族群無運動組3個月之後測成績與前測相比,反應時間與正確率都沒有顯著差異。另外腦波結果前測與後測相比則顯示失智症家族史族群運動組3個月後的P3成分波振幅顯著變大(p<.001);失智症家族史族群無運動組3個月後的P2(p<.001)、P3(p=.029)成分波振幅顯著變小,而P2(p<.001)、P3(p<.001)成分波潛時顯著增加。
結論:失智症家族史成年人進行有氧運動三個月後,在視覺空間記憶力的行為與大腦電生理訊號表現上,部分認知功能指標具有正面效益。
英文摘要 Background: Reduced visuospatial memory is associated with neurodegenerative diseases, such as Alzheimer's disease. Regular exercise is demonstrated to benefit the cognitive functioning. However, no research has yet been conducted on the effects of aerobic exercise on the visuospatial memory in individuals with a family history of Alzhimer’s disease (ADFH). Purpose: The present study was aimed to investigate whether regular exercise produce beneficial effects on the neurocognitive performances in individuals with ADFH when performing a visuospatial memory task. Methods: Fifty-four adults aged over 55 years were recruited and separated into ADFH-exercise, non-exercise-ADFH, and healthy control groups. The neurocognitive [e.g., behavior and event-related potentials (ERPs)] performances during the visuospatial memory task were assessed at baseline and after either a 3-month aerobic exercise intervention program or a control period. Results: The ADFH-exercise group showed significantly faster reaction times and higher accuracy rates after 3 months of aerobic exercise intervention In terms of ERPs performance, increased P3 amplitudes were shown in the ADFH-exercise group after exercise intervention, and decreased P2 and P3 amplitudes and prolonged P2 and P3 latencies were shown in the non-exercise-ADFH group. These findings suggested that three months of exercise intervention could produce beneficial effects on neurocognitive performances in the individuals with ADFH, suggesting that regular physical exercise seems to be a healthy lifestyle to prevent Alzheimer’s disease.
