中文摘要 在交通發展迅速下的現今,雖說能促進經濟的提升,但在安全上的疑慮卻也出現令人擔憂的情況。於今年交通事故的傷亡統計數據上,我們可以清楚知道事故的發生,多為駕駛行為偏差而導致。在道路上均設有交通標誌,來對行駛人員進行輔助,以利維持交通的暢通與安全,但於公路總局考照筆試統計數據中表明,錯誤率排行前三的皆為標誌上的錯認,再者許多行徑人員亦常因工作而長時間的行駛,繼而導致精神不濟與視覺上的疲勞,而此情況將容易導致駕駛人員在進行有限的短時間內去辨別交通標誌時,無法產生有效的判斷,因此標誌上的視覺辨識方面,可說是交通安全上需要得到解決的重要問題。於相關文獻中能得知許多研究上經常探討圖示的表現,對於人們在進行閱讀時,是否會有理解上的疑慮出現。圖示上的認知通常是透過學習性來獲得,但於學習性而言,倘若經常久時間未回顧容易產生遺忘,而在短時間內急需辨別標示所指意義時,無法直覺性的判斷來達到其作用。因此本研究將以駕駛員對交通標誌的視認作為研究議題,分為標誌設計與視認性兩部分進行探討,以解決交通標誌辨識的問題。
本研究一共分為四個階段,第一階段經由圖卡測試與問卷進行樣本的篩選,找出容易發生視認錯誤的標誌;第二階段運用QFD,將用戶需求轉化成設計需求,以得出主要設計項目;第三階段透過主要設計項進行方案設計,並藉由專業相關人士的經驗,篩選出最能呈現出效果的標誌;第四階段最後以測驗與評比,進行驗證。上述研究結果能得知1.加入簡易的情境元素,認知準確度上確實有明顯的提高。2.以一些簡單的代表文字作為認知上的輔助,可達到人們一定程度上的理解。3.圖塊類型的箭頭比起線型更加具有顯著的辨識程度。4.將示意圖外框設計白邊,阻隔開因明度、彩度與色相過於相近的色彩,能讓色彩更加的分明。本研究結果在經過驗證後,清楚的證實了研究所提出的建議方案確實能滿足視認上的需求。
英文摘要 In today's extremely developed traffic development, although it can promote the economy, there are also remaining the safety concerns. In the statistics on casualties of traffic accidents this year, we can clearly know the occurrence of accidents mostly caused by deviation in driving behavior. Traffic signs are provided on the roads to assist the drivers to maintain the smooth traffic flow and the safety. However, in the statistics of the written test of the General Administration of Highways, there are three items with the highest error rate, all of which are misidentifying the sign. Moreover, many drivers often drive for a long time for commuting, causing the mental and visual fatigue, they can’t identify the traffic signs effectively within a limited time. Therefore, the visual identification of the sign is an important issue that needs to be resolved in traffic safety.
There are lot of research often explore the performance of the sign, and whether there are doubts about understanding when people are reading. The cognition on the sign is usually obtained from learning. However, rarely using it will be forgotten. As a result, the signs meaning couldn’t be judged by intuition in urgently time. Hence, this study will use the driver's visual recognition of traffic signs as a research topic, and divide it into two parts: sign design and visual recognition, to solve the problem of traffic sign identification.
This study is divided into four phases. The first phase is selecting the samples through the picture and the questionnaire to find out which signs are prone to visual errors. The second phase is using QFD to convert user requirements into design requirements in order to obtain the main design items. The third phase, using the main design items which were obtained previously for the scheme design, and selecting the most effective signs by the relevant professional. The fourth phase is verifying by quizzes and evaluations. The above research results show that: (1) Adding simple situational elements, there is a significant increase in cognitive accuracy. (2) With some simple representative words as cognitive aids, people can have a certain degree of understanding. (3) The arrow of the block type is more distinguishing than the line type. (4) Design graphics with white outline to separate the colors for preventing from the color mixing which is causing by brightness, saturation, chroma and similar brightness, so that make the colors applied in different graphics more distinct. After verified the results of this study, it is proved clearly that the suggestion schemes which are proposed by this research is able to meet the visual demands indeed.
