中文摘要 在市場全球化過程中,世界的經濟已由各國相互獨立轉而成為巨大的全球市場體系。在此全球化趨勢下,產業競爭不再只停留在國家之內,實際和潛在競爭對手不僅在母國市場,更必須面對國際市場之競爭。企業必須思考採取何種策略對抗競爭對手之威脅,並藉由全球擴張增加獲利能力。當企業執行跨國策略時,公司必須能有效移轉其獨特競爭力至海外事業單位,在全球市場上從事全球策略以獲取競爭優勢,創造更多的價值。
經過多年發展,半導體產業已逐漸由北美移轉至亞洲地區。原物料供應商為供應亞洲半導體製造公司,陸續在台灣及其他亞洲國家設立海外分公司,成立銷售事業單位就近服務客戶。台灣半導體製造商為確保供應鏈更加完備及風險考量,及配合政府扶植本國企業策略下,本國供應商紛紛成立。新加入競爭者因具政策扶植及租稅補貼,同時具有語言及地利優勢,可提供較低產品售價以搶攻市場,對既有供應原物料供應的跨國企業產生相當之威脅,而必須採取積極措施擬定競爭策略以面對此威脅,深入探討個案跨國企業在台灣成立生產研發中心之策略是否發揮成效,成為本研究之研究背景與動機。
本研究以資源基礎理論對個案公司在台灣成立生產研發技術中心之策略方案進行分析,藉由專家訪談進行紥根研究,討論個案公司企業資源是否成功運用,並達到與競爭對手產生差異化之目的。經本研究結果得知,個案跨國企業在台策略決策及成果均獲得專家們正面的評價,本研究可供後續相關研究者參考。
英文摘要 As for the globalization, the world economic is moving from one national markets toward into one huge global marketplace. The industry competition do not stop at national borders, the competitors exist not only in the home market but also in other national markets. Firms need to consider how globalization is impacting the environment and what strategies should adopt to open up the opportunities and counter competitive threats. To gain the benefits of pursuing a transnational strategy, firms must transfer its unique competencies to the oversea division where to create the most value, and how to select right kinds of organization structure and orchestrate the transfer of knowledge among at home and abroad that allows the best resource and services the needs for customers most effectively.
After years of development, the semiconductor industry has gradually migrated to Asia from North America in recent decade. Raw materials suppliers may have to responsive in distribution channels among countries, which may necessitate establishing overseas subsidiaries to supply Asian’s semiconductor companies. Balanced against the concerns of supply chain and risk management, Taiwan government supports the local companies with subsidized to enter the marketing of serving semiconductor manufacturers in Taiwan. Owned the advantages of linguistics and geographic proximity, the local companies adopted low pricing strategies to penetrate the market and growth business rapidly. Facing the intense competitive conditions, the original multinational companies must be come out strategies to response the competition effectively.
The literature is to study the effectiveness of transnational strategies adopted in D company which has established an Asia’s Manufacture and R&D centers in Taiwan. In order to identify relevant constructs of critical success factors for the case study of multinational company, using the resource-based view (RBV) of firm to study the effectiveness of competitive strategies. Results reveal the transnational strategies implementation has successfully improved the competitive advantage in different visions.
