中文摘要   過去研究指出,設計師選擇材質之考量最重要者為感性與感官層面,而人與材質之互動方式主要為視覺、觸覺以及視觸覺之複合感受,尤其觸覺扮演著不可或缺之角色;然而在感性工學領域中,觸覺系語彙卻普遍缺乏,而擬態語彙為一種以聲音模擬物體狀態之特殊語彙,形容觸覺質感尤具其直覺性與巧妙性,甚至具跨文化之特性;因此本研究目的為統整具代表性之擬態語彙、並分析其給予人之複合感受、並以擬態語彙作為感性工學的新嘗試、重新探討材質之視觸覺感性意象。

  本研究實驗共分三階段:(1)首先廣泛收集日文與台語擬態語彙,並邀請精通日文之設計背景受測者進行實驗、具專業設計知識背景之學生進行焦點團體法,並配合集群分析篩選出最終15個實驗所使用之擬態語彙,分別為Teka Teka、Peta Peta、Pon Pon、Chili Chili、Huwa Huwa、Sala Sala、Munyu Munyu、da-qokqok、ding-qiauqiauh、iam-pápà、iu-mimi、jed-pudpud、kim-sihsih、kur-ludlud與pon-saisai;(2)爾後,進行材質相似度之實驗,並且配合多元尺度法挑選出具代表性之六種材質,人造組為ABS塑膠與玻璃、天然組為皮革與毛線、顆粒組為凸點塑膠與大氣泡紙;(3)最後,本研究邀請28位具專業設計知識背景之學生進行材質視觸覺感性意象之擬態語彙評量實驗,並以集群分析、多元尺度法及MANOVA多變量分析,配合與之訪談,加以分析實驗數據。

  而本研究結果主要為:(1)擬態語彙具有其細膩性與巧妙性,其接近材質原本之物理特性,尤其可傳神地表達物給予人之觸覺感受,表達出一般形容詞無法定義及關注的細膩之處;(2)而擬態語彙也重新定位了視覺、觸覺及視觸覺之感覺層次,視覺之感性意象較為抽象單一,觸覺較為具體、細膩、多元且具決定性,甚至影響了視觸覺之結果;(3)而擬態語彙之音形所表達之材質感性意象也具有規律性,尖銳氣音與紮實發音表達人造、肌理密之材質,鬆弛或嘴型較大之氣音則表達天然、肌理疏之材質。
英文摘要   Researchers found the most important attributes that designers consider materials are the aspects of emotions and senses. The main ways for people to interact with materials are visual, tactile, and the multi-perception, especially the tactile plays key role. However, adjectives for tactile perception are short in the field of Kansei Engineering. On the other hand, mimetic words which simulate objects’ condition or peoples’ feeling directly by sounds are more natural and clever way than traditional adjectives, even across different cultures. The main purposes were classify and analyze the images and feelings of mimetic words, and used them as a new attempt of Kansei Engineering to research the visual and tactile perceptions of material images.

  There were three stages of experiments in this research. (1)The first stage of collecting and selecting mimetic words were collect roundly Japanese and Taiwanese mimetic words, processed focus group by design experts and with cluster analysis to select the 15 mimetic words for experiment as Teka Teka、Peta Peta、Pon Pon、Chili Chili、Huwa Huwa、Sala Sala、Munyu Munyu、da-qokqok、ding-qiauqiauh、iam-pápà、iu-mimi、jed-pudpud、kim-sihsih、kur-ludlud and pon-saisai. (2)The second stage processed test of simulation of materials with MDS (multidimensional scaling), and selected 6 representative materials as ABS plastic and glass, leather and woolen, plastic foam with bump and big bubble paper to represent artificial, natural, and particle materials. (3)The final and main stage invited 28 students of design background and used the 15 mimetic words recording the evaluation of material images with visual, tactile, and multi-perceptions. Then, the data were analyzed by cluster analysis, MDS (multidimensional scaling) and MANOVA(Multivariate analysis of variance).

  The results included (1) Mimetic words can exquisitely and cleverly describe the tactile perception of material, and closer to materials’ original physical properties. (2) Visual perception of material image is single and abstract, in contrast, tactile is more multiple and specific, even decisively affect the multi-perception. (3) Mimetic words have the rule to describe material images. Sharp aspirates and solid sounds describe artificial material and dense texture. And relaxing sounds or aspirates with large mouth shape describe natural material and sparse texture.
