中文摘要 攝影術的開展始於1820年間,於1850年間始有西方攝影師到訪臺灣的影像紀錄,至日治時期間臺灣攝影教育的奠基,也使臺灣攝影教育開始發展。在現今攝影技術數位化的時代下,攝影廣泛應用於大眾生活之中,更成為藝術創作者使用之媒材。

在攝影人才的培養上,攝影缺席於臺灣大專院校的專業中,而長期仰賴民間管道的訓練,如:專業人士指導與自學。由於較少從另類教育的角度探討攝影教育研究,此論文目的為研究臺灣攝影教育的發展,以另類教育中的攝影教育為範疇,並在其中深入研究攝影私塾的角色,以攝影私塾Onfoto Studio作為研究個案。

私塾制為東亞文化圈內由私人開辦的教育制度,也是臺灣攝影教育的管道之一。Onfoto Studio成立於2014年,研究者自2015年初次到訪,並於2016至2020期間以學生身份參與課程與展覽。

此研究以質性研究方法為主,包含參與觀察研究、文獻分析法、個案研究法、深度採訪四種研究方法分別進行。透過個案研究過程,研究者以參與觀察研究回顧近五年的學習經歷與直接交流得到的初級資料;藉由深度訪談該個案之工作團隊與師生共二十六人,彙整其教學與學習經歷,以及對臺灣攝影教育的意見,完成研究的結論與建議,並進一步探討攝影私塾在另類教育的架構下,攝影藝術與美學教育深度發展的可能性。
英文摘要 The development of photography began in the 1820s. The earliest photography in Taiwan can be traced back to the images taken by Western photographers in the 1850s. The foundation of photography education began in Taiwan during the Japanese Colonial Period (1895-1945). In the Digital Age, p photography has come to be widely applied to all facets of popular culture, as well as serving as a common medium for artistic creation.

Because photography is absent in Taiwanese higher education, photographic training has had to come from private channels such as mentoring by professionals or self-study. There has been little research into learning about photography in alternative education, a gap which this thesis aims to fill. It covers the development of Taiwanese photography education and the domain of learning photography in alternative education. In addition, it also presents in-depth research about the private institute of photography. The data for the selected case study case was collected at Onfoto Studio.

Private institutes are learning channels founded by professionals or specialists in the East Asian cultural sphere. They serve as one source for learning photography in Taiwan. Onfoto Studio was established in 2014. It is a private institute based on photography. The author’s first visit was in 2015, and becoming a student there in 2016.

This study is based on qualitative research. The methodology includes participant observation, document analysis, a case study, and in-depth interviews. The goal of the participant observation segment was to obtain primary data via the author’s nearly five-year learning experience. For research an aggregate of opinions regarding photography education, this study was implemented through 26 in-depth interviews with Onfoto Studio’s work team, instructors, and students, enabling the author to explore the possibilities of in-depth development for photography and aesthetic education through alternative education.
