Innovation is not copy success, it’s from zero to one. In 21th, innovation play an important role from companies to companies. Innovation separate into two part, ideal generation and idea implementation. Idea generation goes first, with idea implementation later. In this research, we will put more on the factors which may influence the idea generation.
The stereotype tell us, more and more creative ideas come from young generation; however, others argue that older employees have more creativities because they are good at using their plentiful experience. So we try to know the relationship between age and idea generation. Besides, employees’ personality and social ability is important, too. So we tries to exam how proactivity and network ability influence ideal generation.
This study use two versions of questionnaires, one for managers and the other for team members. We sent 400 questionnaires and a total of 238 valid questionnaires are returned, and the final response rate is 60%. We use hierarchical regression analysis to verify all hypotheses.
Our findings can be summarized as following. Idea generation is positive correlated with idea implement. Proactivity and network ability is positive correlated with idea generation.
