結果:正常心跳間期差值平方和的均方根 (the square root of the mean of the sum of the squares of differences between adjacent NN intervals, rMSSD)、心跳間期的標準偏差 (standard deviation of the NN interval, SDNN)、相鄰心跳間期差值大於50ms比例 (NN50 count divided by the total number of all NN intervals, pNN50)、壓力指數 (stress index, SI)、高頻功率 (high frequency, HF)、低頻功率 (low frequency, LF)、總功率 (total power, TP) 均在運動後10分鐘產生顯著差異 (p<0.05)。
Purpose: The purpose of this study is to investigate the correlation between aerobic ability and the heart rate variability recovery ability after a single bout of maximal exercise in cyclists. Method: Participant were 19 healthy male amateur cyclists (20~45 years). Every participant was subjected to a maximal effort cycling test and resting HRV were measured at 10 min before and 10min, 1, 3, 6, 22h after a single bout of maximal exercise. And, personal functional threshold power (FTP) of cycling was conducted 7 days (or more) after maximal effort cycling test. Statistic method includes: 1) Pair-wised T test was used to compare the difference between each post-exercise time point and the baseline measurements; 2) Pearson correlation and stepwise regression were used to analyze the correlation between aerobic ability (e.g. FTP, VO2max, Powermax) and the HRV recovery ability. Result: 1) Exercise resulted in significant difference between HRV indices (rMSSD, SDNN, pNN50, SI, HF, LF, TP) and the baseline at 10 min after maximal effort cycling test; 2) Various HRV Indices were significant correlated with FTP, Powermax and VO2max; 3)The area below the HRV time points curve as indicators of HRV recovery ability were significantly correlated to various indices of aerobic ability. According to the stepwise regression, amateur cyclist aerobic ability could be predicted effectively with rMSSD and pNN50. Conclusion: This study verified 1) a single bout of maximal cycling exercise caused consistent but short-term effects on HRV indices, and, 2) the relationship between HRV recovery and aerobic ability in amateur cyclists. This finding may provide amateur cyclist an efficient way to monitor recovery state and arrange personal training schedule.
