中文摘要 在惡劣的競爭環境下,企業生存越來越顯得挑戰。面對變遷快速與惡劣的窘迫環境,企業如何利用本身資源,實施各項應對措施,讓自身脫離競爭劣勢,是企業重大策略考量之一。為增加作業效率進而提升競爭力,企業採用資訊系統,企業資源規劃(Enterprise Resource Planning,ERP),來滿足作業需求已成為大型企業常態之使用方式。然而,昂貴的商用ERP軟體費用與導入成本常讓資源相對匱乏的中小企業望而遠之,因此,運用開放原始碼軟體(Open Source Software, OSS)來進行企業資源規劃可成為中小企業用以整合企業內部資源之另一項選擇方案。
本研究擬探討中小企業採用OSS ERP之可行性,介紹並分析目前線上數個OSS ERP軟體以提供選擇,且OSS ERP可藉由其程式碼自由使用特性來結合行動商務優勢以為企業需求量身訂做,其相關流程企業可依據本研究提出的一套標準流程模式來執行。為辨識標準流程方法之成功性,本研究依循標準流程實際導入個案公司進行實證研究,以平衡計分卡結合資訊系統成功模式,以及行動商務成功因素等評量方法辨識其成效,所得結果呈現OSS ERP確實在平衡計分卡四個構面中能夠為企業帶來良好績效,同時亦滿足OSS ERP系統本身之成功性要求,以驗證本研究所提標準流程之正當性。因此,OSS軟體確實可以成為中小企業在企業資源規劃上之解決方案。
英文摘要 Nowadays, the enterprises are facing more and more challenges of the competitive environment. In the turbulent environment, how businesses exploit their own resources to gain competitive advantage is one of important strategic objectives of the firm. In order to gain competitive advantage by improving work efficiency, implementing an information system, by which is usually meant Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), to meet organizational operating needs, is a general strategy in large businesses. However, the high cost of commercial software and implementing ERP obstructs small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) which have less capital. For these reasons, the utilization of open source software (OSS) for planning enterprise resources could be an alternative solution to integrating internal resources in small and medium-sized enterprises.
This study addresses a standard operating procedure (SOP) for use by SMEs in Enterprise Resource Planning. I introduce several available OSS ERP software packages, which are free and can be altered by the user, and combine them with the advantages of mobile commerce. In order to assess the feasibility of the SOP, this research examined a case study in which the SOP was applied to an SME, analysing progress using Balanced Scorecard combined with IS success model, and the critical success factors for m-commerce. The research shows that OSS ERP enables the firm to improve organizational performance in four dimensions of the balanced scorecard. Furthermore, the high availability of OSS ERP used in this study also establishes the validity of the SOP I propose. Accordingly, based on these findings, OSS ERP solutions for organizations seem to be a viable alternative to ERP proprietary software, especially for SMEs.
