中文摘要 近年來,由於Web 2.0的迅速發展,由用戶參與提供內容的虛擬社群逐漸成長,透過使用者集體的智慧來分享資訊,所有虛擬社群上的使用者已不再只是單向的接受資訊,而是能夠貢獻自己的知識與智慧並與其他使用者互動分享。因此,虛擬社群能否成功運作的關鍵即在於能否累積知識、吸引人氣、並且讓社群當中的成員互相分享知識、創造知識、及運用新知識。其中,較廣為人知的成功例子則是維基百科 (Wikipedia) 。它提供了一個開放性的知識平台讓使用者可以自己動手編寫百科全書。而維基百科所採用的維基 (Wiki)系統是一種在網路上開放多人協同創作的超文本系統,具有知識整合分享、知識交流的特性,所以特別適合團體協作,能幫助在社群之內共同收集、創作、分享某領域的知識。因此,本研究想要藉由維基所具備的多人協作、知識分享等特性,探討虛擬社群活動 (Virtual Community Activities) 與社群分享者知識分享意願間的影響關係以及虛擬社群特性 (Virtual Community Outcomes) 對於社群成員的知識分享意願有何影響。研究的變數包括維基特性 (Wiki characteristics)、社群成員互動 (Members Interaction) 、社群推廣 (Community Promotion) 、社群參與 (Community Participation) 、社群認同 (Community Recognition) 、社群信任 (Community Trust) 以及知識分享意願 (Knowledge Sharing Willingness) 。本研究採用網路問卷收集資料並採用結構方程式 (structural equation modeling, SEM) 進行分析。本研究結果發現維基特性會對社群成員互動及社群認知產生顯著正向影響,社群認同及社群信任會對知識分享意願產生顯著正向影響。而僅有社群推廣及社群參與對知識分享意願的因果關係不顯著。本研究貢獻除了提供虛擬社群管理者擬定發展策略參考外,並將此概念應用於資訊管理領域與企業實務上。
英文摘要 In recent years, due to the rapid development of Web 2.0, the number of virtual community has been growing. Users in virtual communities are no longer one-way information receivers, they can share their knowledge and intelligence and interact with others. Therefore, the key of operating a popular virtual community lies in whether it could accumulate knowledge, attract more people, allow its members to share and create knowledge in community.
The collaborative encyclopedia, Wikipedia, is the most well-known example. It provides an open knowledge platform, and almost all of its articles can be edited by anyone with access to the Internet. Wiki system is a type of collaborative system, allowing anyone who accesses it to contribute or modify content, using a simplified markup language. Thus, the wiki has the characteristics of collaborative authoring, knowledge integration, knowledge exchange, especially for group collaboration.
Therefore, the objective of this study is to use the major wiki characteristics and virtual community characteristics as the basis for a comprehensive model which describes the relationship between virtual community activities, virtual community outcomes and knowledge sharing willingness. The variables investigated include wiki characteristics, member interaction, community promotion, community participation, community recognition, community trust, and knowledge sharing willingness. An online questionnaire survey is designed to collect the data and the proposed model was then evaluated with structural equation modeling.
The research results indicate that wiki characteristics have significantly positive influence on member interaction and community recognition. Community recognition and community trust both have significantly positive influence on knowledge sharing willingness. But community promotion and community participation don’t have significantly positive influence on knowledge sharing willingness. The findings of this study provide not only managerial implications for virtual community administrators, but also guidelines for managers to make better decisions related to information management and general business practices.
