Since 1991, the government has opened sixteen new banks, and the competition between the banks has been worse. Because the small financial market size in Taiwan, the competition in the banks become so violently. It has decreased the interest between deposit and loan, increased past-due loan ratio, and become a critical financial problem in Taiwan. As a result, the government has drove some finance reforms recently, like promulgating ‘Law Governing Merger of Financial Institutions’ on December 13, 2000. It’s content include the merging between financial institutions, enlarging the economic scale, promoting the operating efficiency of financial institutions, and keeping the environment of competition more suitable. Since the law ”Financial Holding Company Law” had been passed, the more and more financial holding groups appeared, and integrate the banks, and insurance, security, investment trust, invest consulting ,bills finance corporations. The financial holding company has become the pronoun of all financial institutions.

Besides, many large organizations or company take the operation model of virtual organization or virtual team to manage the complicated environment and competition. Because the efficiency and flexibility of virtual organization or virtual team, some developing organization try to take it or plan to take it in the future. After all, the virtual organization or team did provide the potential and broader benefits for the company. Further, the information technology and internet have replaced the traditional manpower, reduced the document process and changed the work style within the financial holding industry. So, to carry out virtual operation should be the trend of today. Thus, in this research, interview with the senior managers of the financial holding industry and analysis the content and discuss the strategy intent of virtual team in financial holding company, we hope we can find the key factors to make the virtual team succeed, and hope this study can also provide the reference for financial holding industry of tomorrow to use virtual team more efficiently.
