中文摘要   今日的青少年是明日社會的主人翁,青少年擁有健全的身心發展,才能成為將來社會的棟樑。由於青少年期生理加速變化,促使影響其身心發展的不穩定因素增多,加上今日科技迅速發展,家庭與社會制度受到都市化與資訊化的衝擊,青少年的身心發展亦受到極大的影響。因此,本研究目的為瞭解台灣本土青少年的心理健康情形,並探討雙親的教養態度、及其人格特質、社會支持與生活事件對青少年心理健康之影響。

  本研究為橫斷式相關研究,隨機選取台南市普通高中及職業學校三年級學生(15至18歲),隨機抽取普通高中三所、職業學校四所共七所學校,再由每所學校抽取三年級學生共371位。以「中國人健康問卷」以及「臺灣人憂鬱症量表」瞭解青少年心理健康情形,「雙親教養態度量表」測量其所感受到16歲前雙親之教養態度,「艾式人格量表」瞭解其人格特質,「家庭與社會支持量表」測量其半年來所感受的社會支持情形,並以「生活事件量表」瞭解其一年內的生活事件。以複迴歸分析以及結構方程模式(Structural Equation Model)探討以上各變項和青少年心理健康之相關。

  結果顯示:一、青少年出現中度以上憂鬱症狀之比例佔28%;而可能罹患輕型精神疾病之比例更高達36.2%。二、青少年心理健康有性別上之差異,男生顯著比女生心理健康為佳。父母親婚姻不完整者,雖然在青少年憂鬱症狀之情況和父母婚姻完整者之青少年無差異,但是在輕型精神疾病之罹患率(如焦慮症)上則可能較父母婚姻完整者之青少年為高。另外,青少年心理健康和不同學制、不同出生排行以及父母親教育程度與職業狀況不同,均無顯著差異。三、16歲以前感受到高關懷低保護(理想)的雙親教養態度之青少年,擁有比較好的心理健康狀況。四、青少年憂鬱狀況與心理健康情形和雙親教養態度之保護因素得分越高、神經質人格特質、生活事件與負向生活事件數目越多,顯著負相關;而和關懷因素得分、社會支持情形與外向性人格特質,顯著正相關。五、 性別、雙親教養態度之關懷、神經質人格特質、社會支持以及負向生活事件是影響青少年心理健康之重要預測變項。六、雙親教養態度影響人格發展進而影響青少年心理健康。七、負向生活事件直接對青少年心理健康產生影響,只有少部份藉由社會支持影響青少年心理健康。

  希望本研究之結果能對影響青少年心理健康之因素,有更多認識以建立更多實證經驗,並建議建立青少年健康照護網絡,可及早介入措施高危險青少年群,重視家庭親職功能以促進青少年心理健康,預防心理疾病之發生。
英文摘要   The purpose of this study was to explore the relationship among parental bonding, personality characteristics, social support, life events and mental health in adolescents.

  This study was cross-sectional design. The subjects whose age between 15 and 18 were recruited from senior high schools in Tainan city. There were 12 senior high schools in total and 7 were randomly selected. One class is chosen at random from each school. There were 371 subjects in this study.

  The following self-report questionnaires were used including 1. Chinese Health Questionnaire (CHQ-30) and Taiwanese Depression Questionnaire (TDQ) measuring their mental health, 2. Chinese version of the Parental Bonding Instrument (PBI), scoring parental attitudes and behaviors as perceived for their first 16 years of life, 3. Chinese version of the Eysenck Personality Questionnaire (EPQ), measuring their personality characteristics 4. Perceived Family and Social Support Scale (PFSS) scoring their social support, and 5. Chinese version of the Life Events Checklist (LEC), collecting their life events during recent one year.

  Multiple regression analysis and structural equation model were applied to analyze the data. As the results show that: (1) adolescents before the age of 16 who were under great care and less protection often have better mental health; (2) adolescents who have neurotic personality characteristics frequently have poorer mental health; (3) adolescents who have more social support have better mental health; (4) adolescents who have experienced life events have had negative impact on their lives have poor mental health ; (5) gender, parental bonding (father's care and mother' s protection), neurotic personality characteristics, social support and negative life events are the most important variables to predict adolescents' mental health.

  The results of this study will help to understand these adolescents and may apply the findings to develop intervention for promoting their mental health.
