中文摘要 近年來歷經了金融海嘯、能源危機、全球暖化等議題,全球環境及社會受到了嚴峻的考驗,企業社會責任議題漸漸地受到了社會大眾的關注,人們開始思考企業經營是否不該只是自身股東的利益極大化,而需考慮到股東以外的利害關係人(員工、消費者、環境等)。過去國內外的研究文獻大多探討企業經營績效與企業社會責任之關聯性。兼顧經營績效與企業社會責任的關鍵因素是什麼?鮮少研究,故本研究主要目的是藉由本研究之個案分析及探討讓其他企業有意於如何兼顧企業經營績效與落實企業社會責任之參考。
本研究採個案研究法,以璨揚企業為例,除了蒐集公開資訊並與璨揚企業公司創辦人暨董事長黃文献先生進行訪談作為研究內容分析,使用紮根理論方法逐步由開放編碼、主軸編碼及選擇編碼精煉成為一個能夠解釋本研究問題的敘事。本研究的問題與結果有二,一、個案公司落實企業社會責任的動機在於豐富心靈並且得到真正的快樂。二、個案兼顧企業經營績效與落實企業社會責任的關鍵因素在於以人為本。
本研究並提出「將心比己、以善立業」的研究發現,將心比己是設身處地為別人著想,將別人的心來對比自己的心;以善立業是為以善念、善心去成就任何事業。個案在企業主以將心比已的思維,並採用以善立業的態度,在兩者交互影響下產生一股善業循環的正能量。期待讓更多的企業了解利他精神,不再只是追求股東利益極大化,而是能在企業經營績效與落實企業社會責任之間取得平衡,在追求企業成長的過程也能落實企業社會責任,使社會、環境更加和諧。
英文摘要 In recent years, the world has experienced financial crises, energy crises, global warming, and other issues which caused the global environment and society severe stress. The issue of corporate social responsibility has gradually received the attention of society. People have begun to think about whether business should not only focus on the interests of their own shareholders, but also take stakeholders into account. In the past, most of the research literature discussed the relationship between enterprise management performance and corporate social responsibility. Few studies have discussed what are the key factors for balancing business performance and corporate social responsibility. So, the main purpose of this study is to investigate the key factors of balancing the corporate performance and the implementation of corporate social responsibility. By conducting a case study, the results may provide other companies an example to follow.
This study took Lucidity Enterprise as a case, by collecting public information and conducting interviews with Mr. Wen-Hsien Huang who is the founder and chairman of Lucidity Enterprise. Based on grounded theory to generate the key factors from open coding, axial coding, and selective coding, the results of this study are twofold. First, the motivation of case company to implement corporate social responsibility lies in enriching the mind and promoting real happiness. Second, the key factor of balance between the business performance of enterprises and the implementation of corporate social responsibility lies in being people-oriented.
This study put forward the research findings of “heart to heart” interactions and “keeping good thoughts when doing anything”. When business owners have empathy and adopt the attitude of good work, the influence of the interaction between the two produces a positive energy within a virtuous cycle. As more enterprises understand the importance of the altruistic spirit and choose to not merely pursue shareholders’ interests, but achieve a balance between enterprise performance and the implementation of corporate social responsibility (CSR), the result will be that the community and environment will become more unified and harmonious.
