With the development of Taiwan's economy, the social development of Taiwan has been affected. The influence included environmental damage, urban-rural gap and loss of local characteristics. The issue of community development and quality of life has gradually become a real challenge for the government and residents. Therefore, this study explores the key factors for community development and improving residents' quality of life.
In this study, Tainan was taken as the research area, the similar time schedule and times of community construction were compared. The data were statistically analyzed and discussed. The results are as follows:
(1) "Community development" has no direct impact on "quality of life", which is a complete mediating effect and a multiple mediating effect.
(2) The effectiveness of community development is significantly related to the cultivation of place attachment, but the construction of environmental design elements must be allowed in order to achieve the better effect of place attachment.
(3) The environmental design elements of community public space have a direct impact on the improvement of residents' quality of life. If the construction of space can attend to the residents' sense of place attachment, the evaluation of residents' quality of life can be greatly increased.
(4) Excellent community development results and perfect environmental design elements are indispensable to the goal of building a community with good quality of life.
